About Us

Your County Agency, On Your Side

Ohio law (Title 59 of the Ohio Revised Code) requires every county to operate a Veterans Service Commission. Our only mission is serving Summit County veterans and their families. Our accredited service officers work one-on-one with you to navigate the VA system and secure every benefit you earned.

Because we are funded by Summit County, every service we provide is free. No fees, no percentage of your benefits, ever.

Veterans, spouses, dependents, and surviving family members of those who served.

Walk-In Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Financial assistance: 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

What to Bring

Your DD-214 or discharge papers, a photo ID, and proof of Summit County residency. Do not have your DD-214? We can help you request a copy.
