Summit County Veterans Service Commission is now providing transportation services to the new VA outpatient imaging and infusion center in Kent, OH. The new facility is located at 3038 Cascades Boulevard in Kent.
The Kent location, which will take over the infusion services previously offered in Akron, will provide essential healthcare services to approximately 50,000 patients.
The Kent VA is the first specialty-specific VA facility to be constructed outside of Cuyahoga County, marking an important expansion of cancer care access for Veterans throughout Northeast Ohio.
“The facility demonstrates the VA’s commitment to providing the best quality care at the closest possible geographic location, particularly for our Veterans facing a cancer diagnosis.” — Jill Dietrich Mellon, Executive Director of VANEOHS
Services include cancer infusion treatments and advanced imaging such as MRI, CT, PET-CT, nuclear medicine, stress testing, ultrasound and comprehensive cancer care.
The facility is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information about the Kent VA Clinic, call 216-791-3800 ext. 64201.
