Q: When is the latest I can arrive to ride VSC transportation?

A: You will need to arrive at the VSC no later than 6:15 a.m., or 6:30 a.m. at the Akron VA Clinic or 6:45 a.m. at the Metro Transit Center.

Q: What will I need in order to ride VSC transportation?

A: You will need to call to reserve space; a valid VA medical appointment

Q. Can I have a family member accompany me to my VA appointment?

A. Despite call in advance to secure space for a family member to join you, a veteran with an appointment or emergency has priority.

Q. What if I need to transport my power wheelchair, can I be accommodated?

A. Although the VSC will no longer transport power wheelchairs, we are committed to finding alternative transportation solutions for our clients by partnering with Akron Metro Transit Authority and other transportation vendors.

Q. Do you transport veterans that live in the Twinsburg, Macedonia, and Remindersville region?

A. Yes, beginning June 2nd we will provide transportation service on Tuesdays and Thursdays to the northeast region of Summit County at a specified location.
